The Daiek Process

Daiek Woodworks believes that the production process must be built upon a foundation of integrity and an eagerness to build lasting client relationships.

The process begins with quoting to plans and specifications. Unlike other shops that substitute materials and skimp on quality, Daiek Woodworks quotes to the plans and will engage in honest discussion about quality expectations and alternatives prior to submitting any bid.

Once a bid is accepted and a contract is executed, Daiek will invoice for a deposit.

Then, we take the important steps of field measuring all projects and preparing shop drawings for review by the client. This way, we are all in agreement about details prior to production.

Once the shop drawings are approved, the production process can begin. Materials are ordered from suppliers with a proven track record of providing reliable quality and delivery. We begin the crafting process - creating the doors, paneling, custom moldings, veneer work, coffered wood ceilings, curved moldings, custom millwork and cabinetry - all in-house.

Often, what you don't see on the inside is as important as what you do see on the outside. In our work, as in many other disciplines, the foundation is critical to the structural integrity of the piece.

We always recommend the use of plywood products for cabinet boxes, instead of particle board or mdf because of the structural integrity that plywood provides. Veneer core plywood costs more from a material standpoint, but it pays big dividends from a value standpoint: better sound deadening, screw retention, strength, durability and aesthetics.

At Daiek Woodworks, we build products the way we would want them for our own. In plain language: we don't do cheap boxes. Craftsmen work with experience and obvious pride to ensure that each element is created to surpass the most demanding scrutiny.

The work then goes on to our finishing, packing and delivery operations, where attention to detail is paramount. Final installation can also be supervised if required.

Our process is a combination of excellent communication, strong client relationships, unending dedication to quality, and the highest levels of craftsmanship. This matrix is tied together with a confidence built on years of experience and an integrity shared by every member of Daiek Woodworks.
