Excellence in Veneer Work by Daiek
Attention to detail means everything in veneer and panel work.
Daiek Woodworks has the experience to create visual impact with excellence in contrasting specie, grain matching, production and finishing for all types of veneer and panel work.
Detailed veneer schedules are part of our standard protocol. Whether we are creating dozens of doors, large panels, or intricate jambs, the initial cutting and grain-matching part of the process must be accurate.
Daiek craftsmen assemble veneers into stile & rail faces when flitch stock veneer faces are specified. The next step will be to apply adhesive and register the face on the door component assembly and hot press.
These doors have come from the veneer press and are stacked for trimming, pre-fit and bevel and hardware machining. Each surface is carefully examined for a perfect finish.

To most, fire rated means flush mineral core doors that can not meet many of the custom design requirements for today’s projects.
Daiek creates truly custom fire-rated doors incorporating BASF fire cores that can meet custom design requirements, look great, work with genuine reliability, and come with fire rated fabrication that certify 20- to 90-minute fire ratings.
We have the experience and the capacity to produce fire-rated doors of all sizes, delivered to your jobsite anywhere in the world.

The door below is undergoing testing at the lab. It is mounted in a fireproof fixture that can produce a 2500 degree Fahrenheit fire behind it. The outside skin temperature is recorded and the door is tested to the time required. At this point in the test – about 30 minutes – you can see the bright fire under the door and in the chimney above the door. There is a bit of soot collecting at the top of the door and some smoke appearing along the hinge side of the door.
